Excellent recipe, can't wait to try it out. You also suggested some fantastic baking alternatives that will be nice to try when running out of recipes.

http://www.epicurious.com/recipes/food/views/Caramel-Dark-Chocolate-Truffles-with-Fleur-de-Sel-109085

I read the reviews of it and everyone said to double or triple the sugar and water, so the first time I made it I doubled it and then this time I tripled it, but that's all I did differently. :)

Hey Meg!

Could you send me the recipe? I can see if I can figure out what went wrong. Maybe it's a temperature thing. I'd love to see you too!

Hey,
1). I want to eat that.
2). I tried to make truffles yesterday, which I successfully did for Valentine's Day, and using the same recipe (Fleur de Sel truffles from Epicurious), but the filling never firmed up! What went wrong, do you think, ratio issues between the caramel and chocolate? I'm using the filling as a fudge coating/eating it straight now. It's tasty anyway.
Thanks! hope to see you this summer in NYC!

Mmmm, looks yummy, love the fresh basil. Funny enough, I was combing thru Local Harvest yesterday trying to find a local cheese CSA...no such luck which made me kind of sad. I wish Wisconsin was a little closer!
